Favourite Web Sites

http://darwinawards.com/ Named in honour of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, the Darwin Awards commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it.

http://www.apolloarchive.com/apollo_gallery.html  Hundreds of NASA photos from the Apollo missions - free to view at full screen resolution - absolutely fascinating!

http://www.archive.org/ Everything on the web, archived in multiple versions to see how it has changed. Look for your web site- you may be surprised to find what it used to look like.

http://www.howstuffworks.com/        Aimed at anyone who wants to know, this is a remarkable site that helps at all levels. If you want to know how a rainbow works, you can start by pushing your shopping trolley onto the grass verge!

http://www.ericweisstein.com/         I came across  Eric Weisstein's site many years ago and am fascinated to see that with a bit of support from Wolfram (creators of Mathematica software), his mathematics encyclopaedia is now "the web's most complete mathematical resource" now held at: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/. Wolfram are now hosting further of Eric's encyclopaedias in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics and Scientific Biography.
